AOSTA
VALLEY

A Dreamy Land of Alpine Giants and Fairytale Valleys

Nestled at the foot of the Alps lies the dynamic and stunning Aosta Valley. It may be the smallest region in Italy, but it boasts the highest mountain in Europe: Monte Bianco, better known by its French name, Mont Blanc. Its glaciers and peaks attract winter sports enthusiasts as well as outdoor lovers for a year-round array of activities from mountain biking and hiking to rafting and canoeing. Gran Paradiso, the oldest National Park in Italy is a natural delight. Of course, Aosta Valley is not without history, as evidenced by a spattering of castles and fortresses. Its position as a European cultural intersection offers flavorful cheeses and aged meats among other culinary temptations. Paired with a glass of one of the region’s many excellent wines, you’ll need little else for a perfect fireside apres ski or hearty and satisfying meal.
